Detailed Developmental Assessment
Service Description
An Autism Assessment comprises three meetings: For the first meeting I will see the patient and their guardians to conduct a comprehensive psychiatric interview. This is for 1 hour 30 minutes. In the second meeting I will be engaging the child/adolescent in social and play activities. This is known as ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-Second Edition). It involves activity-based assessments to evaluate communication skills, social interaction, and imagination. This is for 1 hour 30 minutes. Lastly the third meeting will be with the patient's guardians or caregivers to provide a detailed developmental assessment. This is referred to as ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview - Revised). It's a developmental interview aimed at assessing social development and communication during early childhood. This is for 1 hour 30 minutes. Following the third meeting, a detailed report will be sent to the patient's guardians or caregivers. The sessions are in person. The total price of the autism assessment (three sessions and report) is £ 2160
Cancellation Policy
I understand that unexpected situations may arise, necessitating the cancellation or rescheduling of your child's appointment. I kindly ask for a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any appointment changes, enabling us to offer the slot to another patient. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be subject to a £50 cancellation fee, refundable if you opt not to reschedule. For rescheduling, kindly inform myself at least one working day in advance. Rescheduling within one working day will incur a £50 charge. Please be aware that the £50 cancellation fee ensures the payment for the hospital consultation room, sustaining my commitment to quality patient care.
